Are froodies vegan?
Yes! Our products are 100% fruit & vegetables only and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Do you use any additives, preservatives or sulphites?
Never - our freeze dry process allows us to preserve our fruits & vegetables in a 100% natural way.
Do you use any added sugar?
Never - our products are 100% naturally sweet. Like with all fruit & vegetables, there are naturally occuring sugars, which make them that much more yummy!
Are froodies suitable for children?
Yes! froodies are an ideal snack for the entire family, and an easy way to get your 1 of 5 a day in. We do recommend adult supervision for children under 3.
Are froodies suitable for people with allergies?
Our production and packaging facility handles other products as well. Even though we are careful, this means that there could always be trace amounts of nuts, peanuts or gluten.
Where do you source your produce from?
All our produce is sourced from farms right here in Switzerland. We believe in eating and supporting local farming and agriculture.
Are froodies Bio?
When possible, we source our produce from farms that are certified BIO. In the product specification section you will see the mention of *issued from BIO agriculture. If this mention is not there, it means the product is not sourced from a certified BIO farm, but we still aim to use only the best produce available partnering with farms committed to using the most natural treatments possible.
What does upcycled mean?
By upcycled we mean we are able to use fruits & veggies that would otherwise be disgarded due to slight imperfections (size, weight, shape), and turn them into yummy snacks you can enjoy.
We dont discriminate and we take the opportunity to use these types of produce as much as possible. Currently all of our apples and kiwis are upcycled.
Can I recycle the packaging?
YES! Our packaging is 100% recyclable. All layers of our packaging are made of one material, and do not need to be seperated in a sorting plant, making recyling possible.
We know you care about the environment, and so do we! Currently, our priority is keeping your froodies crunchy and delicious, and ensuring our snacks reach you in perfect condition. Our packaging material is essential for preserving their freshness and preventing them from going mushy.
All about freeze drying
Do the vitamins and nutrients remain intact after freeze-drying?
Yes - Freeze driyng is said to be on of the best ways to preserve food. Because the drying is done at very low temperatures, all essential vitamins and nutrients (approx 97%) are generally protected from the damaging effects of heat and oxidation. And that makes for a very nutritious snack option.
How do you compare nutritional values of freeze-dried vs. fresh?
Due to the water removal during the freeze-drying process, the final produce weighs much less than when fresh. Approx. 100g of freeze-dried fruit is equivalent to about 1kg of fresh fruit.
Per 100g, the values may be higher than fresh fruit, but only because it weighs much less.
What makes freeze drying different from frozen?
Frozen fruit retains the water like fresh fruit does. This means the flavor is less intense and less versatile in usage. Frozen berries for example on the go would be quite messy, heavy to carry around, and when defrosted, would become quite mushy.
With freeze-dried fruit you can be on the go with lightweight, compact and easy to eat snacks that are also mess free, and that's just naturally cool!
What is the best way to store my froodies?
We recommend to reseal the bag once opened, and store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. If they have not been stored properly, and are exposed to moisture or air, they will soften, but they won't spoil. You can still eat them.

What are your shipping policies?
For now we only ship within Switzerland.

Can I return my froodies?
Unfortunately no. Products that have been delivered according to the agreed order contract cannot be returned nor exchanged.
What if there is an error or damage with my order once delivered?
